Buddies are combat helpers, but receiving one and using one are separate actions. Current walkthroughs show a Buddy stall near the early stage route, capsule choices, a collection Index, inventory slots, and an Equip Best control. After opening a capsule or claiming a reported code reward, check the inventory and active slots before expecting the helper to attack.
From stall to active helper
Find the green Buddy sign shown near the Stage 1 entrance in current footage. Open the shop and read the capsule name, cost, stock, timer, and any visible probability details. Choose only an option you can currently afford and that is actually in stock. After the result appears, open the Buddy inventory, inspect the new entry, and use Equip Best or the available manual equip action.
Enter a normal stage and watch for the companions attacking. If they appear beside you but do not engage immediately, give them a valid nearby target before diagnosing a problem. The public material supports ordinary helper attacks; it does not prove taunts, stagger rules, guaranteed boss targeting, or unlimited unattended farming.
Currently documented Buddy shop fields
Unknown names and odds are intentionally absent. A capsule category does not prove every item inside it, and unreadable probability text should not become a guessed percentage.
Dated price and slot examples
One September creator narration reports three starting Buddy slots. The same recording shows a Rare capsule at 500 Trophies with limited stock. At a narrated balance of 360, the account is 140 short; later the creator returns when the option is available. This demonstrates two independent checks—enough currency and available stock—but does not guarantee the current price or starting slots.
The recording also compares training contribution readings from different helpers as the account changes. Those values are useful evidence that equipment matters, not stable species statistics. Do not copy a creator’s boosted reading into your own Dex.
Reported code Buddies
Third-party trackers agree that BUDDY reports a Sensei Buddy reward and that AA2026 reports a Random Buddy. The current official description instead advertises 10KCCU without naming its gift. Visit Codes for the current status and do not treat a tracker report as an in-game redemption test.
After redeeming any Buddy reward, open inventory and equip it. Possession alone is not proof that the helper occupies an active slot. If the result does not appear, check the code response, correct experience identity, inventory filters, and server state before repeating.
When a Buddy helps most
An equipped helper can keep attacking while you move or reload, which makes it useful during ordinary stage pressure. Let the Buddy support the route while you maintain safe aim. Do not assume it replaces movement, automatically claims rewards, or guarantees boss victory.
When comparing a gun, keep the Buddy setup fixed. When comparing Buddies, keep gun, Power, boosts, and stage fixed. Changing both at once makes it impossible to identify the source of a faster clear.
Troubleshoot an inactive Buddy
- Confirm the Buddy exists in inventory rather than only in a capsule-result screen.
- Check the active slot or use Equip Best.
- Enter an area with a valid enemy and wait for normal target range.
- Make sure another menu or stage transition has not hidden the helper.
- Reopen inventory and confirm the slot after Rebirth or rejoining.
- If the live Index or slot count differs from a dated example, follow the current UI.
Do not download an auto-farm script to “activate” a Buddy. Injected automation is unrelated to legitimate inventory controls and can risk the account.
Spending on capsules
Set a budget tied to the next useful decision. If a gun purchase solves the current stage wall, compare it with the capsule cost before spending. If your gun is comfortable but an empty Buddy slot is the obvious gap, a capsule may be the clearer target. Stock rotation means saving enough currency and finding an available option are separate tasks.
Avoid chasing a rarity solely because of its name. Read the current Index and compare the visible contribution or clear result under matched conditions. A common helper that is equipped is more useful than a rare result left in inventory.
Common Buddy mistakes
- Opening a capsule and never equipping the result.
- Treating Basic, Rare, and Legendary labels as published probabilities.
- Assuming enough Trophies guarantees limited stock.
- Copying one account’s helper values as permanent base stats.
- Calling every code reward official when it comes from a tracker.
- Changing gun and Buddy together during a comparison.
- Assuming helpers can claim pads, taunt bosses, or farm indefinitely without evidence.
Quick answers
How do I equip a Buddy?
Open the Buddy inventory after receiving the result and use Equip Best or the available equip action, then confirm the active slot.
How many can I equip?
One September narration reports three starting slots, but current slot count and any upgrades need live confirmation.
What are the capsule odds?
Use the current in-game Index. Public previews do not support a complete reliable probability table.
Do Buddies increase my personal +1 DMG counter?
Buddies visibly attack, but the checked material does not prove that every helper hit increments the player’s personal hit-growth counter.
Evidence status: the capsule-to-inventory-to-equip workflow is community corroborated. Capsule labels, the 500-Trophy example, three starting slots, helper values, and code rewards remain dated or reported until confirmed in the current client.
